The Hurtwood Inn![]()
The Hurtwood Inn is one of those special places where you need very little excuse to return.
Set in the heart of the outstandingly beautiful Surrey Hills, yet only 55 minutes from central London and halfway between Gatwick and Heathrow, the Hurtwood Inn has stood in the centre of the perfect English village of Peaslake since 1920.
Now fully restored and privately owned, the Hurtwood has an enviable reputation for the quality of its hospitality, locally and nationally. Ideally placed to explore some of England's most beautiful countryside, such as Leith Hill Tower (the South of England's highest point with breathtaking views) the National Trust properties of Polesden Lacey and Clandon Park, England's largest vineyard, Denbies in nearby Dorking and the historic city of Guildford.
The hotel has 21 en-suite bedrooms, all tastefully furnished to a high standard and is rated British Tourist Board 3 Star for quality and AA 3 Star with one Rosette for its restaurant. In addition to these ratings the hotel won 'Hotel of the year' (under 50 bedrooms) in the South East English Tourist Board's Millennium Tourism Awards.
Our restaurant 'Oscars' has a superb local reputation, serving a high standard of modern and traditional cuisine in our intimate dining room.
The hotel has 3 meeting rooms; the Garden Room for up to 20 delegates, Oak Room for up to 40 and the Syndicate Room for up to 10.
Please Note: We are a No-Smoking property. Small domestic pets allowed. Children welcome. Check-In time: 14:00 and Check-Out time: 11:00.
