The Brackenrigg Inn![]()
The Brackenrigg is a traditional Lakeland coaching inn, refurbished to modern standards while retaining its relaxed atmosphere. Guests enjoy a beautiful view of the lake and surrounding fells from the dining room, bar, lounge, terrace, garden and bedrooms.
We offer a very flexible range of rooms including one which has full disabled access. Suites can be combined with superior rooms upstairs to form spacious apartments, ideal for families and small groups.
We can offer activity options, a secure cycle shed and a wealth of local knowledge to guests as well as very flexible conference facilities to small business groups.
What makes us really special, however, is the top quality food we offer without the 'fuss' - guests can enjoy the same food in the bar, in the lounge or on the terrace as in the dining room; you can be as relaxed or as formal as you choose. Our excellent, well-chosen range of wines and local beers complement the menu perfectly and our bar, with its local character and open fire (and dart board) is there for you to relax in even more. Locally supplied food features very strongly in our carefully chosen menus and it's all cooked to order on the premises by our own chefs.
Quality food without the fuss, offering fine dining to all and promoting a very positive image of Cumbria & Cumbrian food - that's the Brackenrigg.
Please Note: We are a No-Smoking property. Small domestic pets allowed. Children welcome. Check-In time: 16:00 and Check-Out time: 11:00.
