Pickwick Lodge Farm
Pickwick Lodge is a working farm, surrounded by wonderful countryside. Guests are welcome to wander around and see the cattle, sheep and ponies. The farm has many beautiful walks nearby, where you will often see pheasant, rabbit and the occasional fox, yet only a 15 minute drive from Bath. There is a local bus service to Bath at the end of the road for those who do not wish to drive. The farmhouse is a picturesque Grade II Listed Building, built c. 1650 and extended in Victorian times. It is said that Charles Dickens was so inspired by this beautiful Wiltshire village that he named his first successful novel after it, 'The Pickwick Papers'. Pickwick itself is next to the town of Corsham and situated just 15 minutes from the Georgian City of Bath and 10 minutes from the market town of Chippenham.
